Equal1 CTO Brendan Barry presented Equal1's quantum-on-chip which integrates all quantum computing components onto a single chip for precision, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

Equal1 has played a crucial role in shaping both the structure and content of the Master's program in Quantum Computing, set to launch in October 2024 at the university. During the workshop, Val Mureșan , manager of Equal1's Romania R&D center, gave an overview of the new Master’s program and extended an invitation to academics and industry representatives to contribute to both the fundamental aspects of quantum computing and its industrial applications. The audience comprised students, academics with an interest in the quantum field, industry representatives, and attendees from the banking sector.

The event is organized by Prof. Mihai Udrescu (UPT) and Mureșan (Equal1), with support from the IEEE Society on Social Implications of Technology (SSIT), Romania section. The UPT Quantum Hub is part of the national research project RoNaQCI - Romanian National Quantum Communication Infrastructure.
