Equal1 has partnered with Universitatea Politehnica Timișoara (UPT) to launch an exciting new Master’s (MS) program in Quantum Computing, set to begin in October 2024. This two-year, English-taught program will focus on key areas of quantum computing and quantum communication, preparing students for a career in the rapidly evolving field of quantum technologies.
The program includes three semesters of coursework followed by a final project semester, where students will participate in research activities and complete an internship, culminating in a dissertation. Students must pass the dissertation exam to graduate.
In addition to core quantum courses, the curriculum offers three optional subjects, two of which must be from the student’s master’s degree track. The third course can be selected from other related master’s programs such as Machine Learning, Cloud and IoT, or Information Technology.
The program covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
Fundamentals of Quantum Physics
Introduction to Quantum Computing
Quantum Information Technology
Quantum Circuits and Algorithms
Quantum Communication Systems
Quantum Applications in the Real World
Graduates will receive a Master's degree in Quantum Computing, equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in quantum systems development and research in quantum computing and communications.
The official launch of the program will take place on October 2, 2024, at the UPT Library. Additional information is available at: equal1.com/qcmasters
